Do you want to work with product development in a technical environment where you can combine design, problem-solving, and practical engineering work?

We are now looking for a Mechanical Designer for a small technical development company where you will help develop products from idea to finished solution together with electronics and software developers.

About the role

As a Mechanical Designer, you will become part of a cross-functional development team consisting of electronic engineers, software developers, and project managers. You are responsible for the mechanical design in the projects and work closely, especially with the electronics team, to ensure that mechanics and electronics work together in the best possible way.

The work is mainly carried out in SolidWorks and involves designing products in materials such as metal, plastic, and wood. The projects vary in scope and duration, providing a varied daily routine with many different technical challenges.

The role is primarily focused on design and CAD work, but you will also have the opportunity to follow the products through the development process and be involved in the creation of prototypes.

About you

As a person, you are logical, proactive, and dare to take a stand when needed. You enjoy working close to the technology and are motivated by finding smart and practical solutions to technical problems.

Requirements

  • Education in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or similar
  • Experience in mechanical design
  • Good knowledge of SolidWorks or Creo
  • Swedish and/or English in speech and writing

Merits
  • Practical technical background from a workshop, manufacturing, or similar
  • Knowledge of CNC machining or CNC preparation
